ARC-2 X     Medium weave cotton canvas with phenolic resin. Blister free at higher temperatures, superior to NEMA C and L, good wear resistance and high strength. Contains molybdenum disulfide lubricant in a proprietary temperature resistant resin. Capable of 300F continuously and 400F intermittently. Very low water absorption. C-916 X     Heavy weave cotton with phenolic resin using a special "unidirectional" fabric woven to have maximum strength in one direction. The laminate greatly exceeds NEMA C requirements for flexural, tensile, and impact strength in the lengthwise direction but sacrifices strength in the crosswise direction. Structural parts and wear applications where maximum strength in one direction is required. Heavy Equipment

C-950 X     Coarse weave cotton with phenolic resin. Used as a high temperature phenolic resin containing molybdenum disulfide for lubricity. Resistant to many corrosive chemicals. Readily machined and is used only for mechanical applications. Recommended for use as compressor piston rings, rod, packing and oil wiper packing to meet industry needs for a phenolic laminate capable of operating continuously at 250F (121C). Also recommended where service conditions limit the use of compressor cylinder lubrication. For slightly higher temperatures, ARC-2 is recommended. It should be used for low to medium discharge pressures associated with natural gas transmission, gas gathering units, and petrochemical processes. It may also be used for slide wear applications and thrust washers for agricultural transmissions. Air Tools

T-333   X   Fine weave glass with a G-10 epoxy resin. Particularly useful for tubes with smaller diameters and thinner walls that can usually be made from coarse weave G-10 type glass fabric. Machinability is also superior to a coarse weave G-10 tubing. Specialty
T-339   X X Fine weave cotton linen utilizing a special low odor phenolic resin developed especially to meet the needs of precision ball bearing retainer manufacturers. The fine weave fabric used in T-339 improves machinability over tubing made with coarser fabrics. The enhanced machinability is required for some very small retainers. T-346   X   Special Spauldite® tubing grade is similar to NEMA LE, but has proven to have the lubrication retention properties, dimensional stability characteristics and the machinability important to ball bearing retainer fabricators. Fine weave cotton utilizing a special low odor phenolic resin developed especially to meet the needs of precision ball bearing retainer manufacturers. The fine weave fabric used improves machinability over tubing made with coarser fabrics. This enhanced machinability is often required for some very small retainers. T-360   X   Glass and melamine resin with excellent chemical resistance. Used as fuse cases where arc resistance is required. It is also caustic resistant. Specialty
T-361   X   Fine weave glass with a melamine resin similar to NEMA G-9. Excellent chemical resistance. Often used to make smaller diameter tubes where the fine weave glass fabric aids in the winding. Does well in applications for fuse tubes due to its good electrical properties, especially resistance to arc tracking. Specialty
T-525 X X X Glass utilizing a special epoxy resin developed for high strength and electrical properties. Special Spauldite® grade exceeds NEMA and LP-509 G-10 properties with superior mechanical properties. The tube form is more suitable than flat sheet for certain types of machined parts. Specialty

T-536 X     Glass with phenolic-epoxy resin. Exhibits superior electrical properties under both dry and humid conditions, and has very high mechanical strengths even after being heated to over 350F Retains at least 30,000 psi flexural strength, at .125 inch thickness, when measured at 150C. Used in both electrical and mechanical applications where exposure to high temperatures is present. Applications include large generator or motor slot wedges and structural parts exposed to high temperature, where electrical or thermal insulation are needed. Also used for sliding pump vanes where the abrasiveness of the glass is not a problem. Specialty

T-791 X     Medium weave cotton with phenolic resin capable of being formed, when heated, into simple shapes. Typical of these shapes are rings ranging in diameter from 5 to 16 inches and 1/8" or 3/16" thick. Based on Spaulding's proprietary resin system which contributes to the grade's unique forming characteristics and excellent record in wear ring applications.
